Comment | Curious. Thomas Bilson is not exercising his right as Bishop but as surrogate for the true patron whose two choices have not lasted very long. Edmund Chandler MA instituted in February died in March and Francis Alexander, instituted in March resigned in October. No wonder Cooke asked the Bishop for help, and Robert Adams was still at Kimpton in 1652. |
